PUSH BLOCK [WIDE]

Gifkins Dovetail has recently developed two lightweight non-slip push blocks ideal for the box maker. As a result of searching locally for a push block—and not finding one—Col Hosie decided to do what he normally does, he made it! Then he introduced it to viewers on the Gifkins YouTube channel!

The push blocks are designed for light work on the router table. They are made with a comfortable moulded handle, attached to a compact laminate plate with a non-slip rubber base.

There are two designs…

• The wide block has a large baseplate for use with wide timbers.
• The narrow plate works well for smaller tasks close to the fence. Its handle leans over slightly to position the hand away from the fence and cutter.

The design of these push blocks allows the box maker to hold down the timber from the top, while gently guiding with the other hand.
