The Pin chuck drill is a handy little tool to help you with the delicate job of fitting hinges into your boxes.

Features of the pin chuck drill:

  • The pin chuck drill has two, double-ended chucks to hold small drill bits up to 2.5mm in diameter
  • a swivel end to aid drilling, and
  • a knurling pattern on the shaft to provide grip.

Fitting hinges is one of the more fiddly processes in box making. If you’re just starting out, experiment with various types of hinges and techniques until you find what suits you. Then, practice! practice! practice!
